Principal shooting begins for James Bond fan film GHOST

Production has officially started on the upcoming James Bond non-profit fan film GHOST. Principal shooting began on February 21, 2026, at the old beer storage facilities of Bocks Corner Brewery in Vaasa. Mediawolf Oy received permission to use the unique filming location for the project following a meeting with Sture Udd.

A total of 10 cast members from across Ostrobothnia participated in the first round of filming. According to director Benjamin Kalliomäki, the results from the opening shoot exceeded expectations.

“The end result was better than expected,” says director Benjamin Kalliomäki after the first filming day.

The project also carries special meaning, serving as both a 10th anniversary production celebrating the first film published by Kalliomäki in 2017, as well as a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the James Bond classic The Spy Who Loved Me, originally released in 1977.

As production continues, GHOST aims to be an ambitious fan-made tribute to the James Bond universe, combining local talent, historic locations, and a passion for filmmaking into an original non-profit production.
