Independent film productions often come with unexpected challenges and the James Bond fan film GHOST recently faced one of its biggest scheduling obstacles so far. Due to prior commitments, cast member Minea Ahlskog was unable to participate in the planned summer shoots alongside the main cast. Her original scene was intended to be filmed together with lead actor Jack Ballard, who takes on the role of James Bond in the project.
To solve the issue, the production team worked closely with director Benjamin Kalliomäki to develop an alternative filming plan. A new shooting schedule was arranged, allowing Minea’s scenes to be filmed separately on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Skybar in Vaasa.
To create a more natural performance dynamic, Jack Ballard joined the production remotely during filming, helping simulate live scene interaction and allowing Minea to react as if her co-star had been physically present on set.
Following the Skybar shoot, the team also completed several green screen scenes later the same day, making the session a highly productive part of the film’s ongoing production schedule. Despite the logistical challenges, the team successfully adapted and kept production on track, another example of the creative problem-solving required in ambitious independent filmmaking.
