A journey through time

2000
Mediawolf was founded

Kaj Lindeman founded the advertising and media agency in 2000. The office, a small “closet”, at Poutuntie 8 in Lappo. At this time, a PC with an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ processor, a 19″ large “thick-TV” monitor and Windows 98 were hot stuff.

The services were websites, graphic design of printed materials, as well as photography and video production.

2001
Streaming even before YouTube

Mediawolf made one of its first live broadcasts on the internet back in 2001. At that time, we also made history by conducting the very first live broadcast from the Suomen Yrittäjät (Finnish Entrepreneurs’) Day, which was held in Seinäjoki.

2002
MTV A Festival Odyssey Provinssirock 2002

Mediawolf participated in the production of Music Television’s Nordic festival series in collaboration with Videoframe Oy. We were responsible for filming, lighting and sound mixing for orchestra interviews, as well as recording the artists’ performances during the Provinssirock festival in Seinäjoki. The programs were broadcast on MTV Europe och MTV Nordic.

2003
Miljoona pilkki (ice fishing)
Miljoonapilkki

Mediawolf and Rockperry Oy co-produced the Miljoonapilkki ice fishing competition in 2003 for Nelonen (Channel 4). We had several camera crews  on site during the competition, and we also used a slightly “larger drone” 🙂

2006
TV programs for BotniaTV

Mediawolf made several program series and one-off television programs for the Ostrobothnian channel BotniaTV, owned by Vaasa läns telefon / Anvia. The programs did in collaboration with Kojootti-Viihde Ky. Among other things the current affairs program EP-makasiini (Etelä-Pohjanmaa makasiini), Onnellista Elämää, Eteläpohjalaista kädentaitoa, Ilmajoen Puhelinmuseo and others. Several of the programs can be seen on one of our Youtube channels.

Vodafone McLaren Mercedes had entered into a partnership with the Kuortane Olympic Training Center in Finland to use a more scientific approach to the drivers’ preparations for Formula 1. The institute, a leading centre for high-performance training, carried out physical tests, medical examinations and provided professional advice to drivers and team members.

McLaren CEO Martin Whitmarsh stresses that F1 drivers must maintain the same peak physical level as other elite athletes and that a scientific approach makes it possible to identify and improve weaknesses that can affect the team’s performance.

Mediawolf, who had already carried out several assignments for the Kuortane Olympic Training Center, was contacted to photograph the McLaren team’s training over several days. Team principal Ron Dennis wanted to see how future F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton & Co’s training in Finland was progressing.

2019
Rockperry Festival 2000-2010, 2019
Vodafone McLaren Mercedes

Mediawolf was responsible for the marketing of Rockperry Festival for over ten years, including web design, posters, tickets, newspaper ads and other digital and printed materials. Mediawolf was also responsible for the photography during the festivals. The picture shows promotional photos taken with Essi Unkuri for the Rockperry Reload festival in 2019. She was later elected Miss Finland in 2021.

2025
Mediawolf becomes a limited liability company
Mediawolf blir aktiebolaget Mediawolf Oy

On 22.12.2025, Kaj Lindeman and Benjamin Kalliomäki founded the limited liability company Mediawolf Oy. From being an advertising agency with a lot of web, our focus shifted to TV and film production, but also video production and multi-camera streaming services are included.

It was convenient to have Janne Pitkäkangas from the accounting firm Ebita as a neighbor. With Janne’s help, the registration went smoothly.
